Anast Kaklamanos immigrated to the United States to find a better life for himself and his future family. He started out in Boston working in a candy store, eventually moving to NYC to work in restaurants and diners. That's where he met his future wife, Theresa. They married and he went into the service, proudly serving his new country in WWIl. After being discharged from the service, Anast and Theresa moved to Bridgeport where he began working at a little hotdog stand. It was a tiny, white shack with no seating, but the line was out the door. They would ask the customers if they wanted the food "in the car or to go". Customers started calling the place "The Greeks" because the employees were all Greeks and spoke Greek! Eventually, Anast's two sons, Jim and Mike and his son-in-law, Mickey, joined him at The Greeks and worked there for years. In 1980, owner of the property didn't renew the lease on the property. Jim looked for a new spot and ended up opening The Greeks in Milford with Mickey. They successfully worked there for over 20 years and then retired, closing the Greeks.

12 years later, Jim and his son, Andrew decided to open a new Greeks here in their hometown of Shelton. They are excited to bring the Greeks to the valley and hope you enjoy their food.
